Tuesday night we was blessed with a Lawrence Co. vs Paintsville matchup where not only a couple dominate baseball programs went to war but the two Home Run leaders in the Mountains went to battle as well. Lawrence County slugger Jackson Feltner squared off against the big bat of Seth Williams, Feltner ended up getting the best of the battle, he hit a walk-off homer to give the Bulldogs a 4-3 victory over the Paintsville Tigers.
The walk-off shot made Jackson's 11th home run of the 2019 season, right now the "Bulldog Blaster" Jackson Feltner has a Slugging percentage of .918 and a .412 batting average. The "Bulldog Blaster" has 36 RBI's, 8 doubles, 2 triples to add to his Mountain leading 11 home runs, his 11 blast ranks him 2nd in the state, 1 behind the leader. Lawrence Co. is leading the Region with a 25-4 overall record, 13-0 in the Region, 6-0 in District play, Feltner has played a huge part in everyone of them wins, whether it was at the plate or on the mound. On the hill Feltner has a 8-0 record, he has pitched 33 2/3 innings, where he has 37 strikeouts with a 2.08 ERA.
This kid is a Division-1 talent that can play multiple positions around the diamond, he has rich athletic bloodlines and was blessed with all the God given attributes an elite baseball player needs, His father is the Lawrence County AD & Baseball coach, his mother is well known for all the success she has had with the Bulldogs Basketball program and a little sister that is quit possibly the most talented middle schooler in the Mountains.
