The Tug Valley Panthers started the season a little slow but just like every year the Panthers started to click as they headed into the post season. The Panthers have a boat load of talent but their extremely young, that youth didn't show at all last night in a post season matchup vs Van. In the 1st quarter Tug Valley's Caleb May started the game out aggressive, he was attacking the basket and loosening up the Van defense. May ended the quarter with 5pts and gave Tug Valley a 14-6 1st quarter lead. In the 2nd quarter the Panthers fed the horse, Easton Davis ended the quarter with 6pts and a block, the Panthers would hold a 24-15 advantage going into the locker room.

Tug Valley's Coach May must have giving the Panthers a motivating speech at the half because Tug Valley came out moving the ball well and got everyone involved on offense. Ian Reed started heating up, Van couldn't do anything to slow him down in the 3rd. Reed ended the quarter with 7pts and jumped in helping the "Bigs" rebound the basketball with 3 boards in the 3rd. Heading into the final quarter Van would need to overcome a 15 point 41-26 deficit, they needed to do something they hadn't been able to do all night and that was slow Tug Valley down. Van started off on the right track with 2 early steals and finally started seeing some shots go down. Van finished the game strong scoring 21 4th quarter points but the only problem was, they also gave up 26. Tyler Chaffin looked unstoppable in the 4th, he was playing solid defensively and dropped 11 of Tug's 26 fourth quarter points. Tug Valley ended up with an impressive 20pt win over a good Van team, final score was 67-47, Panthers advance to the next round.

Tug Valley's Tyler Chaffin was the games leading scorer and rebounder, he had 16pts and 8 boards. Panthers star PG Caleb May wasn't far behind in the scoring column, May ended the game with 15pts and assisted on 5 other baskets. Ian Reed gave fans a little sample of his scoring capability, he drained a couple from downtown and threw in 12pts, 5reb, 3ast in the win. Easton Davis had 8pts, 4reb, Ethan Colegrove would contribute 5pts, 5reb to the cause and Joby Sorrell added 3pts. A host of other Panthers jumped in on the scoring, Justin Hall, Kobe Smith, Brady Newsome and Zack Savage would all throw in 2pts on this post season victory.
